Settings and execution

| Name | Optional step identifier. Wait does not produce a useful business-data result. |
| Delay | Wait duration in milliseconds. The runtime default is 1000. For example, 250 requests a quarter-second pause; it does not represent 250 seconds. |
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Place Wait with Delay 250 between two steps in a test action. Verify that the later step executes after the pause. Use a short explicit delay for demonstrations.
Check the behavior and limits
Section titled “Check the behavior and limits”Wait is a timer, not a check that an external job completed. For job completion, inspect an actual status with a bounded retry strategy. Long waits keep the request open and can exceed hosting timeouts.
