Call a reusable action from the Server Connect Library and obtain its declared outputs.

Exec Action

Call a reusable action from the Server Connect Library and obtain its declared outputs.

Settings and execution

Setting	Meaning
Name	Names the result returned by the library action in the caller’s scope. For example, calculation.total refers to the library’s total output when this step is named calculation.
Action	The Library action to execute. It must exist; the runtimes report an error for a missing library action. This is not a URL for an HTTP request.
Output	Includes the named library result in the caller’s response. It does not expose every internal value automatically.
Input Parameters	The fields defined by the selected Library action. Bind values to them; the called action reads them under $_PARAM. These fields depend on the chosen action rather than being a fixed list in this reference.

Worked example

Define a Library action with an amount parameter and a Set Value named total using that parameter, with Output enabled. In the caller, add Exec Action named calculation, choose the library action and bind amount to 12.5. The caller can then read calculation.total.

Check the behavior and limits

Only the library’s output data becomes this step’s result. Calling a library is distinct from Include Action and from calling a public API endpoint. Validate library parameters at the appropriate trusted boundary.
