  • A server with the required ZIP libraries and a dedicated test folder/archive. Authorize access to the source and destination paths.

Create a ZIP archive from an explicit list of server files.

Setting Meaning
NameNames the returned saved path, metadata or comment for later steps. Extraction returns a success result rather than a new archive.
Zip FileThe complete application-relative server archive filename. For creation, prepare its writable parent directory first.
Files(s) to AddThe collection of server file paths or file records to add. The runtime helper can read path fields from file records.
CommentOptional archive-level comment text.
OverwriteFor archive creation, allows replacing an existing ZIP; otherwise a unique name can be chosen. For UnZip, this exposed option is not honored as a protective gate in the installed implementations.
OutputIncludes the named returned path, entry list, comment or extraction result in the action response. Default off; this does not download the archive itself.

Create an archive from two disposable test files with distinct filenames, then read Zip List and compare its entries with the requested file list. Download or extract the test archive separately to confirm its contents.

Files are added under their basenames, not their complete server paths. Files from different folders with the same basename can therefore collide in the archive. Precheck the file list and inspect the result; a missing file may be handled differently by the backends.

Use the actual returned archive path after creation. Use File Download when a browser should receive it, and keep any private files behind a protected server action.

You can configure the archive operation and verify the intended entries, metadata or extracted files.
