Database Multi Update Template
Section titled “Database Multi Update Template”Insert a Repeat-plus-Update scaffold into the editor.
Fields or generated steps
Section titled “Fields or generated steps”| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Generated Repeat | Adds record_repeat over $_POST.record. Define the expected collection and validate every record. |
| Generated Update | Adds record_update with empty options inside the Repeat. Configure the connection, table, writable columns and identifying/ownership conditions. |
Verification example
Section titled “Verification example”Use two disposable records with stable ids. Configure the inner Update to use each current record’s id and allowed new value, together with the required owner restriction. Verify both intended records changed and unrelated records did not.
What remains your responsibility
Section titled “What remains your responsibility”This template does not supply safe conditions automatically. An empty or broad inner Update condition can affect many rows on every iteration. Configure and test the generated steps before execution; add a transaction when the required all-or-nothing semantics call for one.
Review the resulting workflow
Section titled “Review the resulting workflow”Inspect the actual generated or included steps, their inputs and their final output before connecting the action to a user-facing page.
Check your result
Section titled “Check your result”You can identify what this editor entry adds and configure or interpret it without assuming an unfinished scaffold is a completed workflow.
