Database Multi Insert Template
Section titled “Database Multi Insert Template”Insert a Repeat-plus-Insert scaffold into the editor.
Fields or generated steps
Section titled “Fields or generated steps”| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Generated Repeat | The template adds record_repeat over $_POST.record. Define and validate that incoming record collection. |
| Generated Insert | Inside the Repeat, record_insert is created with empty options. Choose the connection, destination table and source-field mappings before running it. |
Verification example
Section titled “Verification example”After inserting the template, provide two disposable test records under record. Configure the inner Insert to map each current record’s name and price. Run against a test table and verify that exactly the two intended rows are added.
What remains your responsibility
Section titled “What remains your responsibility”This is an editor template, not a standalone multiinsert runtime method or an already configured database action. Repetition does not imply a transaction. Use Bulk Insert or an explicit transaction when its behavior better matches the task, and check ownership/allowed fields before writes.
Review the resulting workflow
Section titled “Review the resulting workflow”Inspect the actual generated or included steps, their inputs and their final output before connecting the action to a user-facing page.
Check your result
Section titled “Check your result”You can identify what this editor entry adds and configure or interpret it without assuming an unfinished scaffold is a completed workflow.
