Repeat an overlay image as tiles over the loaded image.
Repeat an overlay image as tiles over the loaded image.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- A supported image-processing runtime and a disposable test image. Load the named processing instance before effect, transform or Save steps.
Tiled Image
Section titled “Tiled Image”Repeat an overlay image as tiles over the loaded image.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Image | Select the named Load Image instance available earlier in this action. It is not a filename or an App Connect page component. |
| Image Path | The application-relative server path of the input image file. Use the picker for the active target; a browser URL is not necessarily the same path. |
| Padding | Space added around repeated tiles. Runtime default 0. Use a small positive value and inspect the resulting pattern. |
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Select a small transparent tile image and Padding 4, apply it to a larger test image, then Save. Check the repeated pattern and spacing in the resulting file.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”Padding spaces the repeated tile; it does not add a border to the base image. The tile must be a readable server image. Verify the final composition when combining this with another watermark or text overlay.
Load, transform and save
Section titled “Load, transform and save”Image Processor operations run on the server. For transformations, use a named Load Image, apply the intended operations to that instance, and Save it to a deliberate path. A page image component will not automatically update just because an in-memory server instance changed. Return or persist the saved path and update the page’s source as needed.
Check your result
Section titled “Check your result”You can configure the selected image operation and inspect a saved result for the intended dimensions or visual effect.
